Cortney Kochevar

Ms. Kochevar takes pride in representing and assisting doctors, nurses, psychologists, hospitals, medical spas and other health care providers in and out of the courtroom. She specializes in representing health care providers in cases involving allegations of medical malpractice, wrongful death, lack of informed consent, employment disputes, and federal 1983 actions. In addition to litigation, Ms. Kochevar has successfully represented healthcare providers in a variety of settings including contract negotiations, licensing investigations, disciplinary actions, appeals, and in business formation.
Ms. Kochevar has served on a variety of boards and assisted in both local and international humanitarian and educational programs. While serving on the board of Women Lawyers of Utah, Ms. Kochevar led the effort to research and create The Utah’s First 100 Women Lawyer documentary, which highlighted the experiences and successes of the first 100 women lawyers of Utah through historical research and live interviews. Based on personal experience, Ms. Kochevar is passionate about the mission of the National Ability Center and actively supports its efforts to empower persons of all abilities through sport and recreation.
In her free time, Ms. Kochevar enjoys spending time with her daughter; exploring the foothills and mountains along the Wasatch Front with her Labrador retriever; boxing; and attending heavy metal concerts.
